The History of the Monks of Egypt is not by Jerome. You can read its account of Or here. The original Vitae Patrum is partially by Jerome and was wrongly ascribed to him in its entirety. The History of the Monks was included in the vast collection of the Vitae Patrum as published by Rosweyde. Srnec (talk) 23:29, 14 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
