Facts are stated without appropriate citations

edit

Hello,

These paragraphs have citations to news articles that do not state what these paragraphs state:

"Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades said that they targeted with explosive devices the Israeli forces penetrating the Tulkarm camp, and said that there were confirmed Israeli casualties.

The Al-Quds Brigades group in the Tulkarm Battalion said that its members fired bullets at Israeli infantry forces and snipers inside the Tulkarm camp, and that they achieved casualties."

and

"Explosions continued in the city at dawn and in the morning of the second day of the invasion, Friday, October 20, 2023, and the Tulkarm Brigade announced that a number of other Palestinian armed battalions and groups had been able to reach Tulkarm and support the Tulkarm Brigade in its fighting."

Citations 7 and 9 do not support these statements and should be removed.

Israeli Withdrawal Result

edit

Is the result not an Israeli withdrawal? I have attempted to add this, but I have been reverted. Is the battle still ongoing? The Weather Event Writer (Talk Page) 20:38, 30 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

You have attempted to add a lot more than "Israeli withdrawal". Mikrobølgeovn (talk) 14:11, 31 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
Mikrobølgeovn — Well since you removed the entire phrase, you need to re-add “Israeli withdrawal” as, you did in fact, violate 1RR to remove that phrase. Please self-revert that phrase immediately as there is a source specifically stating it. The Weather Event Writer (Talk Page) 14:19, 31 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
It was a RAID. A raid is not meant to seize and hold territory. I suppose you think the Entebbe raid was a Ugandan victory? Mikrobølgeovn (talk) 14:21, 31 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
WP:OTHERSTUFF. Please self-revert (“Israeli withdrawal”) immediately. The Weather Event Writer (Talk Page) 14:24, 31 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
In your own style of words, find me a source saying it was not an Israeli withdrawal (i.e. Israeli victory), then we will talk. Until then, self-revert “Israeli withdrawal”. The Weather Event Writer (Talk Page) 14:27, 31 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
You also violated 1RR, and you are misrepresenting your sources. From the summary of events in the article, it looks like Israeli forces destroyed a lot of buildings and infrastructure, killed a lot of Hamas operatives, and then left. Mikrobølgeovn (talk) 14:40, 31 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
Since we are in agreement that Israeli forces withdrew, I will re-add that part to the infobox later. Cheers! The Weather Event Writer (Talk Page) 15:04, 31 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Various article issues

edit

The article have various issues, like the sole lethal Israeli casualty, reported as a policeman in the body of the article then named as a soldier in the infobox. Also the source provided in the body of the article says that the sole Israeli casualty is severly wounded not killed. Xinhua net source provided a better account of what happened. Don't know why someone reverted the correcion made. The article was hastly edited, maybe of the current events taking place but there is enough time to check this errors like the phrase ".Israeli border." between two sentences, be more careful next time .Mr.User200 (talk) 22:31, 4 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Whoops. I did a multi-edit revert by accident Mr.User200. I meant to just add the result as "Israeli withdrawal". God I hate this bug and the technical page just says it is normal...yet I didn't have the issue/problem for years and all of a sudden started having it in the last few weeks. Well anyway, would you mind "self-reverting" (per se) the result back to Israeli withdrawal? I didn't mean to revert the edits you did.
