I was examining the status of the military of each of the three Baltic Nations, and I ran into this very interesting quote from Lithuania:
"In January 2011, the Baltic states were invited to join Nordic Defence Cooperation, the defence framework of the Nordic countries. In November 2012, the three countries agreed to create a joint military staff in 2013. Future co-operation will include sharing of national infrastructures for training purposes and specialisation of training areas (BALTTRAIN) and collective formation of battalion-sized contingents for use in the NATO rapid-response force."
This implies that the three Baltic Nations were invited to join the NDC ten years ago, and (on some level) DID so!
I wonder if this WIKI page needs to be updated and the Baltic Nations added to the table? Or if something intervened to prevent full entry into the NDC, then AT LEAST a brief paragraph should be in this article mentioning the offer back in 2012; and the aftermath.
