Kronvall?
editWhy do some sources spell his name as Kronvall and some as Kronwall? I've even heard it pronounced both ways. 24.80.96.84 (talk) 08:26, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
- The pronunciation difference is common between Norse or Germanic languages—pronouncing 'V' as 'W' or vice-versa. This is pretty strange though, considering NHL.com has his last name as "Kronvall" (see player page). − Twas Now ( talk • contribs • e-mail ) 06:06, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- I always thought it was spelled Kronvall, but most television stations (CBC last night for instance) list his name as Kronwall. I guess it falls in line with Russian names with some names (Nikolai, Dmitri, Alexsei etc) being spelled with a Y rather than a I. Raphie (talk) 12:31, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
