Good read/improvements.

I read the article and found it to be a good read. However I noticed that the last paragraph has nothing to do with the person. It is more about what happened to the guillotine. Maybe include a few lines about where he was buried. Acebulf (talk) 17:02, 14 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

You do bring up a good point there. I haven't found where he was buried in any of my research, though. I'll try to reword that section so it doesn't focus as much on that. NW (Talk) 17:24, 14 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
Hmm, I can't really figure out how to reword this last paragraph. Do you think it is best to remove it, or leave it as an afterword to note that this execution – a nonpolitical one – was typical for the time, which those who think of the early French Revolution and think of the Reign of Terror, might be unfamiliar with. This bit from the current version of the page: "A legal advisor was given to Pelletier, but despite his efforts and calls for a fairer court hearing, the judge ordered a death sentence for 31 December 1791.[10] On 24 December 1791, the Second Criminal Court confirmed Judge Moreau's sentence.[10]" It seems to imply that the death sentence was confirmed a week before it was issued. If someone has access to the reference, it should probably be clarified.71.92.100.73 (talk) 22:59, 5 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Trial court judge issues sentence, to be carried out on New Year's Eve. There is an appeal to the Second Criminal Court, which affirms the sentence on 24 December, before it has been carried out. The Second Criminal Court wouldn't have bothered to hear the appeal if the sentence had already been carried out. I'm not sure what needs clarification in that.
