Name of School

edit

The name of the page is "Mount Edgecumbe High School" but the school is strictly referred to as "Mt. Edgecumbe High School." This is a big deal for alumni of the school and its current students. The page's name should be changed to Mt. Edgecumbe to be more correct. I do not have a online reference but I do currently attend Mt. Edgecumbe and have spoken with some of the original staff and students and they often make it perfectly clear that Mt. is the absolutely preferred label in all contexts. I am not sure as to the spelling or preference of the the Mt. Edgecumbe Volcano but regardless I am certain of the school's name.

Do you have any offline citations? 216.67.81.21 (talk) 22:03, 28 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

UPDATE: Would Alaska Department of Education and Early Development be an acceptable online reference? As you can see the school is Mt. Edgecumbe High School while the district may be referred to as Mount Edgecumbe. Another potential source is the school's website which also refers to the school as Mt. Edgecumbe High School. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alchier (talkcontribs) 18:16, 2 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
