In a newspaper(www.tageblatt.lu), Miralem Pjanic said that he didn't give this interview. He's also born in 1990. 88.207.239.83 23:33, 4 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

I apologise for assuming that it was vandalism; in future, please give an edit summary (e.g. "Pjanic has said that he didn't give the interview. See [www.example.com/Pjanic_denies_interview.html this article]") to prevent such misunderstandings.
Suggestions that one has not given an interview are rare, so I'd be interested to know exactly how this happened (and, of course, a bit of me remains incredulous). Searches of the tageblatt.lu site give no results. Could you please give a direct link if you have one? Or something from another site?
You are correct on the birthdate. Why it keeps getting changed to and fro between 1989 and 1990 is beyond me. Bastin 00:07, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

Place of birth?

The info box says he was born in Tuzla, but the "Early life and career" section says he was born in Zvornik... ?--DemirBajraktarevic (talk) 08:16, 9 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Pjanić's cousin

edit

Can anyone explain why this article should contain information about Pjanić's cousin under the 'personal life' section? The article presents no evidence that Pjanić had any contact with him at all. AndyTheGrump (talk) 18:59, 30 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

The information about his cousin is under personal life because that's where information about family members goes. Where does it say in Wiki policy that inclusion of info about family members needs to establish close collaboration between the subject and the family member. The info that the bio subject's family member did something notable is certainly notable itself.Zvonko (talk) 14:56, 3 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
Again, the article provides no evidence whatsoever that this individual played any part in Pjanić's personal life, and it is elementary Wikipedia policy that notability is not inherited. A non-notable individual died in Syria, and being a relative of a Bosnian footballer doesn't make the person or the event notable. Since you have failed to provide the slightest basis in policy for the inclusion of this material, I am going to remove it again - and if it is restored, I will raise the matter at WP:BLPN, where I am sure you will be told that inclusion is inappropriate.   Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. ‑‑ElHef (Meep?) 13:31, 2 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
