Years active edit

it says on miss keegans profile that she has been active since 2008, her first appearance on coronation street was on 7 january 2008 and coronation street gets recorded several months before it is aired so that means she must of started acting on the coronation street set in 2007 so it should say 2007 - present.--Del Boy (talk) 14:49, 1 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Birthplace edit

First line paragraph under the Biography heading reads:

"Keegan was born in Irlam, Greater Manchester [1]"

The citation link has no mention of the word "Irlam" - but yet on paragraph 8 (of the cited link), it reads: "Despite her less than stylish appearance as a youngster, Stockport-born Michelle didn't have trouble attracting boyfriends, and admits she was 'a little flirt'."

So I'm editing this line, and it now matches the infobox on the right (which wasn't edited by me) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.137.171.79 (talk) 10:51, 5 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Unencyclopedic content edit

User:NigelJong added the sentence "Markmeets reported the Corrie actress is leaving corrie 2014" referenced to a blog. I don't think this content belongs in an encyclopaedia. Theroadislong (talk) 08:05, 11 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

I have removed it, informed NigelJong that blogs are not reliable sources and cautioned him for adding unsourced or improperly sourced material to the article. Thomas.W talk to me 16:49, 11 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Michelle Wright edit

Married http://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/michelle-keegan-mark-wright-married-5753537 but not WP:Notable as Michelle Wright, a redirect can be created but the name should not be changed here without discussion and consensus support. Govindaharihari (talk) 16:42, 25 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Govindaharihari: Do you know if this has changed? Article lede is now calling her "Michelle Wright" with zero in-article explanation that she has changed her "stage" name. If no proof can be provided that she now goes by Michelle Wright, I suggest we roll this article back to a previous version. (I know some IP troll has been pushing this kind of name change for ages, and semi-protection for this page may be required again...) --IJBall (contribstalk) 16:42, 2 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
User:IJBall, Hi. No, I don't really know if anything has changed, she is still clearly more well known as Keegan. The article title is reflective of that though and the opening Michelle Elizabeth Benson Wright (born Michelle Keegan on 3 June 1987 in Stockport, Greater Manchester)...She uses her birth name for roles. - does seem to explain that, so I accepted as a pending reviewer. I don't have any issues with your comment and a reversal to a more policy /MOS compliant date at all. Govindaharihari (talk) 19:17, 2 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
OK, if she's still going by Michelle Keegan professionally (and that's the primary article title, which it is), that's probably the name that should be listed first in the lede. I'll try to fix that up today... --IJBall (contribstalk) 19:21, 2 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
