To further improve this article, several subcategories can be added to expand on the topic. Virginity testing, approved sexual acts/positions, homosexuality, born- again virgins, prostitution, and contraceptives, can help to give a wider scope of Medieval female sexuality. Religion played a large part in female sexuality through it is only comprised of four paragraphs on this page. I feel that we can expand on the religious section and provide more in depth information (linking back to external sources) in other sections. The language, structure and balance of the page is great! We could just provide a few more resources to give a more well rounded knowledge on the subject of Medieval Female Sexuality. A more appropriate title might be: European Medieval Female Sexuality. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:18C:CC00:5607:6175:CAA9:959A:DBB8 (talk) 03:54, 9 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Proposal to rename "Medieval European female sexuality," or broaden scope to entire feudal Old World

edit

Since the article focuses on the experiences of women in medieval western Europe, I propose that we either rename the article accordingly, or broaden the scope to feudal societies around the Old World. Zoozoor (talk) 04:03, 4 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

"Medieval" and "middle ages" already refer specifically to Europe. —DIYeditor (talk) 22:02, 5 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
On the disambiguation page for the term "medieval," a section says
"The term is also used to refer to periods in nations outside of Europe having similarities in social and military development," such as India, the Middle East and Japan.
But, I agree that since its primary meaning is European, we can leave the page title as it is.
