footnote amendment
editUser:Victuallers suggest a wee edit as follows, as the article cited footnote was not attributed to Lord Bath, more likely given previous statement was from General Terry (who commented on the vote if thanks) was it his remark?
Propose to change text to -
However, there was a footnote reported in the press (not attributed), which said: "You a doctor! Why, nobody in their senses would employ you!" And the reply was reported as: "Perhaps not; but I'm going to be a doctor to lunatics."[cite 18] Kaybeesquared (talk) 00:31, 16 March 2021 (UTC)
Oh just go for it, I think its now approved (Hurrah!( but there are some useful points and queries in the text and you know the sources much better than I do. Victuallers (talk) 07:41, 16 March 2021 (UTC)
Really impressive
editI thought she was too tricky to create a biog for - well done Victuallers (talk) 14:32, 10 March 2021 (UTC)
Thanks to IanTheArchivist
editVictuallers (talk) All the research by IanTheArchivist was hugely impressive! and shed new light on her role within the community, in child health as well as speaking out on women's rights. I have sent him a Tireless Contributor whirling Barnstar of thanks. Kaybeesquared (talk) 16:41, 10 March 2021 (UTC)

- Article is new enough, long enough, and the sources appear to be reliable. However, I wouldn't say it's neutrally written enough to be DYK eligible; it includes language about her father "heroically helping the sick and injured right up until his death" and includes a lot of blockquotes—and the phrase "never to have been a militant suffragette" is in bold. It's a very interesting topic, and one definitely worthy of pageviews, but these issues in neutrality (plus a few grammatical/punctuation errors) need to be fixed, IMO. - @Cstickel(byu): - thanks for the review. I have reduced the quotes and that has removed much of the neutrality issues. (Her dad was quite a hero). I've also given the article a polish and Animalparty has found a better pic. I find her interesting too because of her involvement with Eagle House and the suffragettes garden (which has sadly/annoyingly bulldozed about 60 years ago. Do feel free to just fix any minor issues. Cheers Victuallers (talk) 17:18, 15 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Victuallers: Did a quick CE of my own and left some queries as invisible comments. I can't check most of the sources, but look at those queries and I think we're good to go. ALT1 is better. Cstickel(byu) (talk) 20:04, 15 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Victuallers: Have access to all the original sources thanks to research by User:IanTheArchivist and have checked the points in the invisible comments and amended as far as possible, noted what I have done on each comment - this included some text edits for clarity. Two other notable suffrage leaders from the south of England Mildred Mansell and Edith Sutton are referenced and supporting Morris but do not yet appear to have their own articles. Thanks to all who have helped improve this article, and have it nominated for a DYK. Agree Alt1 is more relevant - more sources not quoted - also support those already included - public debates on a first woman doctor's role and salary.

- Great - I was impressed that @Cstickel(byu): had given it a good faith pass. Maybe she might care to repeat the tag (as unless its at the bottom it can appear that the nomination is still work in progress). Thanks to all. Victuallers (talk) 10:12, 16 March 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you Victuallers and Kaybeesquared for editing in response to my invisible comments. I've gone through and removed them from the article. Approving ALT1. Cstickel(byu) (talk) 19:09, 17 March 2021 (UTC)
