Nuetrality edit

Very nice effort, but needs work to eliminate strong POV statements to make it encyclopedic. See WP:Neutral. Best, --Pgagnon999 (talk) 13:35, 21 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

This seems like it was written by the artist in question. No citations, and things like "He is a father of three and revolutionary" and "The album shows the progression as an artist Malik has made." Right now, this is a joke of a wikipedia page which reads more like a press release. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.86.147.13 (talk) 05:04, 1 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Not a very good article. I saw him opening for Lupe Fiasco in Millwaukee and he and his band were sick. Couldn't find the band name in the article. Couldn't find the other singers/rapper from the show. Anybody know this and can add it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.184.247.46 (talk) 17:01, 5 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Sort key for DEFAULTSORT and listas= parameters edit

The existing sort key currently used for this article is "Yusef, Malik". Although this artist appears to use a stage name of "Malik Yusef", while his full name is "Malik Yusef El Shabazz Jones", the consequence of using this sort key is that this article will be collated under this artist's middle name, "Yusef", rather than his surname, "Jones". The sources cited in the article vary in the way they treat this artist's stage name; one uses his full stage name, another used his full birth name, while a third uses his second name as if it was his surname. The name sorting guidelines suggest that where an article title is not "Forename Surname", then the article should be collated by the title of the article. which means the sort key should be changed to "Malik Yusef". - Cameron Dewe (talk) 08:01, 19 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

The sort key has been changed to "Malik Yusef" with this edit to the article and this edit to the talk page. Please discuss further changes, with an explanation of why such changes are justified, first. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 03:46, 20 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
