Proposed merge of Listed buildings in Fawcett Forest with Listed buildings in Whitwell and Selside edit

Parishes have been combined in 2020 to form Selside and Fawcett Forest PamD 20:30, 17 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Interesting to note: Search on NHLE for listed buildings in Selside and Fawcett Forest now shows 22 entries, while these two constituent lists contain 11 and 12 - so one entry seems to have disappeared. Or was there somewhere which was listed in both lists? Needs looking into! PamD 20:36, 17 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

@PamD: It seems to be Bannisdale High Bridge which appears in both lists. Sometimes a listing includes in brackets "That Part In X Cp" like Shaldon Bridge. Also agree with merging the lists per Talk:Listed buildings in Scalthwaiterigg#Proposed merge of Listed buildings in Skelsmergh with Listed buildings in Scalthwaiterigg. Merging the lists seems sensible, especially as the parishes have just merged, rather than changing their original boundaries (something different has happened in Cheshire). WP:MERGECLOSE suggests we wait a week from the merge proposal, at which point anyone including the proposer can close the discussion - though I doubt that anyone would object if you did it sooner. Perhaps I shouldn't have made a formal proposal but just put a message on the talk pages - further up WP:MERGE it says "Any editor can perform a merger. No permission or discussion is needed if you think the merge is uncontroversial; just do it (but it might get reverted)."! I can't see anyone objecting. PamD 08:23, 19 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

I don't see how it needs 7 days especially when the author has agreed, it seems like an uncontroversial case per Wikipedia:Proposed article mergers#When to propose a merger item 1. I have gone ahead and merged the lists. As they stood, they were incorrect and did not reflect the current situation. I have made the original lists into redirects.
