Talk:Listed buildings in Bryning-with-Warton

Warton Post Mill edit

I'm surprised this has not been de-listed by English Heritage. Nothing but the mill stones remains at the site, which is now a dilapidated piece of waste ground. So unfortunately the opening statement "All that remains of the former post mill is a circular wooden post that is stabilised by crossed timbers" is no longer true. Thanks for that, Martin. I see that the description was written in 1996, and events seem to have moved on since them. The EH marker is actually on what still appears to be waste land (ie not built on) and this is confirmed by the aerial view. Streetview is not of any use because the site is hidden by a hedge. I will get in touch with my contact at EH, giving him the links you have supplied, and ask whether delisting is now appropriate. Cheers. --Peter I. Vardy (talk) 17:00, 28 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
Yes, it's a small piece of waste ground. The only image I can find on the web is this one. The red brick building is still there. Martinevans123 (talk)
