No. Raton is the highest point (7573')on the line between Chicago and Los Angeles, but that is not the Continental Divide. The Continental Divide is about drainage and not elevation. The Divide is the line between the Pacific watershed and the Atlantic (and Gulf of Mexico)watershed. Raton is east of the Rio Grande, which flows into the Gulf.
