Latest comment: 4 months ago by Axisstroke in topic why are the terminated destinations still there?

  • This list of destinations is not date referenced. Are these destinations being served in 2005 or what? We need to know how current the list is or it is of no value. Ardfern 20:07, 20 August 2005 (UTC)Reply
  • LAX to MGA is not speculation, and will be announced. But I'll wait.
  • I have added extra destinations for 2008 from the UK, I will update fully when the actual dates of starting are realesed.

  • Delta has launched service to University Park Airport from Atlanta, but I am not sure if it is through DL Connection, or Delta itself.

DL Connection destinations listed here edit

  • I keep seeing destinations only served by DL Connection on the DL mainline destinations. So whoever is putting destinations only served by DL Connection, please stop putting them. Bucs2004 04:57, 11 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

So where the hell are the other destinations? edit

So the question is, where are the Delta Connection flights listed? They sure as hell aren't listed on the Delta Connection page? If someones going to bother removing them from here, then you need to start placing them in a separate list on the Connection page. • The DL Conx destinations are listed by the individual carriers (Comair, ASA, etc) WhisperToMe (talk) 18:10, 27 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Merger Complete edit

Please do not add NWA destinations (hubs, focus cities, etc..) to this page. The airlines have not combined services and the intergration will need to take at least a year or two to complete. NWA is still operating as a seperate carrier (Delta just owns it) for now and its destinations are listed under Northwest Airlines destinations. Please wait until things are finalized then NWA destinations can be put on this page. Thanks! Cashier freak (talk) 06:48, 8 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Few outside Western Hemisphere edit

They have a lot of destinations, but not a lot outside the Americas. If they keep that way, they won't be able to compete with European and Asian Airlines, in a global market!Mondolkiri1 (talk) 07:04, 16 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Requested move 29 May 2018 edit

Moved to "List of X destinations" titles. bd2412 T 01:59, 6 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

American Airlines destinations was recently moved to List of destinations served by American Airlines. To be consistent with this recent move, all other airline destination pages should be moved as well. 2601:183:101:58D0:74A2:9017:34D0:485C (talk) 20:37, 29 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

As noted in the linked move request for American Airlines, there are many more pages than just these in Category:Lists of airline destinations that might be moved. Dekimasuよ! 20:57, 29 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
I understand that, but there are too many to list in this RM. That's why a handful of pages are listed. --2601:183:101:58D0:74A2:9017:34D0:485C (talk) 21:42, 29 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Support עם ישראל חי (talk) 22:12, 29 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose per brevity (WP:CONCISE), common name, and ease of discovery. Correct styling. The "List" red-links could be redirected to the already existing names though. American Airlines should be moved back (consistency wouldn't be a reason, a name moved in a three-person easily disputed RM close shouldn't brings hundreds of others along with it). Randy Kryn (talk) 22:42, 29 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Support These are lists and the title should reflect that. Rreagan007 (talk) 01:11, 30 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose To be consistent with all the other articles, List of destinations served by American Airlines should be moved back to the original name. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jetstreamer (talkcontribs) 01:52, 30 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Support, but instead move to "List of X destinations" - More concise and natural to leave out the "served by" language. Recent move should be reverted and added to this request as it should never have been handled independently of the others for consistency reasons. This result should be applied to all 433 entries in Category:Lists of airline destinations. -- Netoholic @ 02:07, 30 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Yes, that's a major improvement in the name. The "served by" was added in good faith, it just seems to me to be a little outside of encyclopedic language. "Served by" actually passed at the American Airlines page, but without much of a discussion. Good you caught that. Randy Kryn (talk) 02:35, 30 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • As I commented at Talk:American Airlines destinations, I prefer no move for brevity and consistency, and I think that moving would be a wasted effort, but could support Netoholic's proposal as second choice. No such user (talk) 10:41, 30 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Support. Netoholic's recommendation is a good one. "List of X..." is more consistent with many other 'lists' entries spanning a wide variety of topics and is indeed more concise. I'd be wary of supporting the "served by" language just because the American Airlines destinations article was recently formatted as such. "Served by" strikes me as a bit too commercial. • Comment i think Netoholic is right so change the move request עם ישראל חי (talk) 15:05, 30 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Support moving all of the articles in the list category to titles that show they are lists, as I did at Talk:American Airlines destinations. The titles proposed by Netoholic seem to be preferable. Dekimasuよ! 17:13, 30 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Support If that was the case, then they should be moved. But there are more other airliner destination articles that should be moved. Igor1383 (talk) 20:23, 31 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Flight to Vienna edit

This page lists Vienna as a Delta Airlines destination but I can't see any delta flights to/from Vienna. AsimovtheCat (talk) 22:30, 27 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

CGK and DPS? edit

DL does not fly to Indonesia directly on their own metal; can someone remove it please? 99.153.34.244 (talk) 00:38, 15 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

why are the terminated destinations still there? edit

Just curious as to why the terminated destinations are still included in this list--seems like it would make more sense to just remove them? Or at the very least, move them to a new section called "terminated Delta destinations" or add a sort button to the table to be able to sort the destinations that are terminated from the seasonal/active destinations? Trashgoose (talk) 17:50, 17 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

they are kept on every list so one sees which destination the airline touched. Beware that wikipedia is not a travel guide. Axisstroke (talk) 13:44, 18 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
