Please, HELP ME edit

I have uploaded sccessfully the photo of Laszlo Garai but I am not able to add it to the text "Laszlo Garai". Please, help me

{{ | Prof. Laszlo Garai in his office = | = |2002 August = |University of Szeged, Faculty of Economics, the office of the head of department of economic psychology | Gloria Szala = }}--Szalagloria (talk) 03:23, 11 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

+ Continuation

Just a couple of minutes ago I learned by chance that the photo I produced and I uploaded has been destroyed by someone who

1., is unknown for me;
2., has been motivated by as unknown a motive as the destructor himself is unknown.

Please, inform me what rights do authors of Wikipedia have. Do these rights include that of defense of texts they produce? Actually, how can I restore the photo if it is indeed destructed without any motivation being given? --[[Special:Contributions/--Szalagloria (talk) 09:02, 7 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Editing edit

I think I've improved the article, but I haven't removed the notability template: it needs references to independent comments on Garai's work. I've asked Szalagloria to help with this. Andrew Dalby 13:18, 18 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

To my regret, Szalagloria hasn't offered help and has now proposed deleting the page. (The proposal was made on my talk page,

I don't still understand the topology of messages between users. It is why I did as follows: I copied what I wrote to you and I put this copied text to the Help desk Szalagloria (talk) 02:57, 30 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

not that I can delete things.) I copy my reply:

"Well, as you may have noticed, I have put a lot of work into this page.
Not only I did notice it, but I expressed my profound thankfullness for it. Szalagloria (talk) 02:57, 30 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
It was never your page -- material submitted to Wikipedia is free for others to use and improve -- and, having worked on it, I disagree with you that it should be deleted. I think he is notable by Wikipedia definition. I'm sorry if you won't help me to find a secondary source on his work. I'll just have to try to find one myself."
Here it is: http://www.staff.u-szeged.hu/~garai/Strukt.htm Excuse me that I don't do more than that but I have a lot of time-consuming work with managing a university department and doing my own research work, and meanwhile I got considering our WP-work, yours and mine, useless with these mostly stupid deletions of what we compile. Szalagloria (talk) 02:57, 30 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
So that's what I'll try to do. I'm in no doubt, really, that he's notable. Unless anyone objects, when I've found a secondary source I'll remove the template. Andrew Dalby 09:34, 28 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
Well, Szalagloria came back at last and gave me a reference, so I have now added it to the page and removed the notability template. I'm going to try and find another. Andrew Dalby 14:53, 28 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
I have restored the notability tag. A single references does not confir notability at all, much less what appears to be a single review of one of his works. Please review WP:BIO and WP:N before removing the tag again. -- AnmaFinotera (talk ~ contribs) 15:00, 28 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
I've added another and am still looking. Andrew Dalby 15:05, 28 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
You may also wish to review WP:RS and WP:EL. I have removed one link you added which was a Facebook mirror of Wikipedia. -- AnmaFinotera (talk ~ contribs) 15:05, 28 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I recognised my own words! but, being unfamiliar with Facebook, I had no idea whether there might be more about him somewhere in there. So thanks for checking that, and for the homework assignment :) I have now added four references to reviews that I would consider independent. Still at work ... Andrew Dalby 15:46, 28 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, its Facebook's newest "feature" - they basically have mirrored most, if not all, of Wikipedia. -- AnmaFinotera (talk ~ contribs) 16:12, 28 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
I've added more references now. I should explain, maybe: I've no personal interest in this, indeed I tend to be suspicious of psychologists; but of all Szalagloria's complaints I had some sympathy with just one, that it was maybe more difficult with sources in relatively little-known languages, such as Hungarian, to pass the reliability/notability test. The complaint might have been totally unfair in general, and also totally unfair in this particular case, but I have a strong view about Wikipedia as a world resource, and wanted to feel sure that it couldn't be valid here. Not easy, admittedly, with my very limited knowledge of Hungarian ... Anyway, I'll leave it now. I think, myself, that notability has been shown and the template could be removed, but I won't battle over it! Andrew Dalby 18:09, 28 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

I'm moved indeed by the work you have done. Just a last item: The Facebook may be mirroring wp, I don't know. But it certainly isn't true for this academic encyclopedia: http://en.academic.ru/dic.nsf/enwiki/4974859 Szalagloria (talk) 02:57, 30 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Actually, yes it is...that is a very clearly marked Wikipedia mirror, it is simply using the old version of the article[1] -- AnmaFinotera (talk ~ contribs) 03:02, 30 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Magyar Tudományos Művek Tára edit

It's a pity that Garai did not take the trouble to fill the data of his publications into MTMT, the most universal list of publications of Hungarian scholars. 193.224.79.8 (talk) 15:06, 6 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Article odd edit

This article sounds as though it has been written by a native speaker of a language other than English. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.36.131.241 (talk) 13:37, 15 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
