editKirby, a villager in Pupupuland, arrived on Planet Popstar when his rocket ship broke down, causing him to wake up and arrive at Pupupuland 200 years before schedueled. In the TV show, which is called Hoshii no Kaabii, kirby is usually found beating demon beasts sent out by Dedede, eating, or sleeping. In one person's opinion, he sleeps so much because he was supposed to be sleeping for 200 years. His friends are Bun and Fumu, childeren of the Cabinet Minister. His enemy's are usually demon beasts that are purchased and sent out by Dedede to destroy him. He is usally a peaceful creature, but sometimes causes a rukess by annoying the other villagers.
- So are you trying to say the the anime is a prequel series to the actual video games? ... You know, that could make some sense if you took some liberties. 208.101.173.66 15:39, 4 August 2007 (UTC):

More unreleased games?
editI remember, in Kirby's Rainbow Resort, that a Kirby game was planned where Kirby would be depicted as much younger. I think it was "Kirby Kids" or something, and I'm pretty sure it was supposed to be for SNES. I guess it would be a prequel to Kirby's Dream Land, or an alternate continuity or something. Now, I don't have an immediate source on it other than Kirby Warrior mentioned it at least once, I think. I know this is the same place that also started the whole "Nightmare possessed Meta Knight" rumor at around the same time, but I think this should be looked into. 208.101.173.66 15:45, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
Okay, absolutely nothing about Kirby eating other characters?
editI'm disappointed. It was the strangest and most characteristic part of the series. --HanzoHattori 08:26, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Kirbylogo.gif
editImage:Kirbylogo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Chronology
editFor a chronology in the series. Let's see......I'm sure that Kirby's Dream Land 1, 2, and 3 would be the first three, and that they chronologically precede Kirby's Adventure. --PJ Pete October 3, 2008, 0:21

Kirby's Avalanche
editIt's not possible to click on Kirby's Avalanche from the timeline picture. It's covered up by the title of another game that came out in the same year. Alphius (talk) 19:45, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
Help citing Kirby's sales.
editCurrently, the Kirby series includes a total of over twenty games, and has sold over 30 million units worldwide.
Citation please? -Λίνουξ (talk) 07:50, 29 June 2014 (UTC)
- After some research, I found this. Ignore the flash game thingy and read the text below. It should be useful for some citation. Also see Kirby's Rainbow Resort, with lots of information on each game and more. -Λίνουξ (talk) 08:12, 29 June 2014 (UTC)

Kirby and the Forgotten Land
editWhy doesn't the new game have a Wikipedia page? 98.118.18.50 (talk) 23:47, 26 November 2021 (UTC)
- Not enough information about it has been released yet. Once more is announced and there is more coverage (not just of the game's initial unveiling), an article will be made. TheHumanIntersect (talk) 23:53, 26 November 2021 (UTC)
Other video games have gotten pages with less information. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.118.18.50 (talk) 03:08, 28 November 2021 (UTC)

Merger proposal
editI propose merging List of Kirby media into Kirby (series). I think the content in List of Kirby media can easily be explained in the context of Kirby (series), and a merger would not cause any article-size or weighting problems in Kirby (series).~ Arkhandar (message me) 10:55, 25 January 2023 (UTC)
- I like having a list of all the games with some information for each to quickly ascertain aspects about each like the release dates and other information. However, it would not be a huge qualm were the list merged as you suggest. ButterCashier (talk) 11:10, 25 January 2023 (UTC)
- I find separate lists with quick facts more convenient than having to scroll through everything else on series articles. And the Kirby series is one of the series with a sizeable list of media. Of course it can, but should it? WP:SIZERULE applies here. -Vipz (talk) 12:44, 25 January 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose One would think that the idea of a featured list being overlapping with a series would have been considered already and found untrue. The series should not have a list of games, but a textual description, that is why separate list articles exist. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 20:36, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose – The list format fits better as a separate article compared to the prose history of the series article (we could/should probably remove the incomplete list from the series article, though) DecafPotato (talk) 21:45, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose - For the reasons above. Not to mention that the Games section in this article is just a duplicate of List of Kirby media. ThomasO1989 (talk) 23:53, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
- Comment - I was the user who originally brought the List of Kirby media article to FLC back in 2008, so I don't think it's my place to !vote in this matter. One note here is that the general rule of thumb I've seen (a long time ago, may be out of date now) is that a list with more than ten items generally can be split out for this kind of thing -- if we were to re-incorporate all of this information back into this article, it would be needlessly overlong (it seems like the incomplete list of games on this page would reinforce that this content would absolutely destroy the main article here). I'm inclined to keep this and other video game series of similar length separate. Nomader (talk) 23:12, 30 January 2023 (UTC)
New series 2022 logo
editThe updated series logo from 2022 currently on the page (https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/d/d4/Kirby_2022_logo.svg/375px-Kirby_2022_logo.svg.png) is not the official series logo. The logo currently on the page is recreated from the 30th anniversary logo (https://kirby.nintendo.com/assets/img/kirby_30.png). The official new logo for the entire series (not just the 30th anniversary) is this: https://kirby.nintendo.com/assets/img/kirby-logo.png
The new logo is used in the titles of the games since Kirby and the Forgotten Land as well as now on the official Kirby website https://kirby.nintendo.com/
This article should feature the proper new logo. Kgdx (talk) 18:58, 10 February 2023 (UTC)
- Done, replaced with File:Kirby Logo (Yellow and Blue).png on all Wikipedias that were using the unofficial logo. -Vipz (talk) 11:59, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
Units sold (in millions)
editAll of the digital games say >1. That begs the question, for digital-only games, would downloads be "units" that were sold? QuicoleJR (talk) 13:48, 26 April 2023 (UTC)

"Return to dreamland deluxe" doesn't have it's own article and doesn't link to THAT article's footnote
editCurrently it links to "Kirby's return to dreamland" for the wii which is already confusing, as the info the reader is expecting is about the nintendo switch version, listed at the bottom of the "development" part of that article. It's quite confusing really, and the link itself doesn't link to that part of the article anyways. Rando339 (talk) 21:26, 18 August 2023 (UTC)
Thinking
editWhen this article meets the status (maybe the six good article criteria) Will this be a good article or a featured list? i'd love to see it as at least one of these. ~~~~ ((Whatcha gotta say? :) -ThaFDA)) (talk) 00:01, 13 September 2024 (UTC)
- @ThaFDA: If we could get it to that point, it would be a good or featured article. This is an article, not a list. QuicoleJR (talk) 14:06, 14 September 2024 (UTC)
