kim wants to vote edit
i just took this out of the article. i'm not sure if it's worth putting in as personality, or just silly. but either way it would need a better writeup. "Kim in 2005 http://washblog.typepad.com/main/2005/11/final_day_of_ki.html" --dan 04:18, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

Gear? edit
In the video to Black Hole Sun he's clearly shown using an SG. Just wondering if he used one in the recordings and, if he did, why it's absent from the gear list? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Stratpod (talk • contribs) 03:35, 25 January 2007 (UTC).
Actually, it's a Guild S-100 (often miscredited in guitar articles as an "S-1," a different guild electric). Key differences inculde a parallelogram tailpiece instead of the Gibson stopbar, the different headstock, and the less symmetrical body shape. SKjackass 07:16, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

Why edit
Why is this page so small. Ben Shepherds page is bigger and even Matt Cameron, it doesn't make sense.
Bands edit
Kim Thayil was/is a member of a band called Dark Load and Pigeonhed. I got proof her [1] from the Soundgarden homepage. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wellwater Conspiracy (talk • contribs) 18:06, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
Recent work edit
Kim contributed guitar to the song "V.O.G" on Ascend's album Ample Fire Within.
He also played on the Boris/Sunn0))) collaboration "Altar," but I am unsure about the details.
