At this page it has an oversized logo for the series. It would look great on the article, and make it look more professional. — J U M P G U R U TALK 01:55, 8 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

This image could be used in press event section. ^_^ — J U M P G U R U ask㋐㋜㋗ 01:23, 12 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
No, it can't. No non-free images of living people are allowed for use like that as they are always considered to be replaceable. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 01:56, 12 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ultimo?

edit

I have come down to that Ultimo is the official English title. They used that in the English Shonen Jump issue and Stan Lee (an English guy who wrote the series.) uses that too. I'm going to ask a admin to perform the move. — J U M P G U R U ask㋐㋜㋗ 01:21, 11 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

The Shonen Jump link doesn't work anymore. Is there some where we can easily see the title? -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 01:57, 11 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
The Shonen Jump link (through the logo) suggests the title is Karakuridôji Ultimo, but everywhere exept the logo it is spelled as Ultimo. — J U M P G U R U ask㋐㋜㋗ 03:46, 11 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
The problem is, we don't know if its the actual name they are using, or if they are just shortening it (like the do SJ). -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 03:50, 11 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
True... Let's just leave the page as it is. — J U M P G U R U ask㋐㋜㋗ 04:00, 11 November 2008 (UTC) P.S. So sorry about the template. : PReply
Yeah, probably best for now. Maybe they will do some kind of better press release or something clarifying the name later. And no worries :) -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 04:02, 11 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, you can't imagine how embarrassed I was. :-( — J U M P G U R U ask㋐㋜㋗ 04:23, 11 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Ah, no need to be. You're doing better than you were when you first started editing :) -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 04:29, 11 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Is there a Japanese page? I just want to make sure it's "ウルテイモ" and not "ウルティモ". --わwaらraうu Smile! 07:28, 22 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

The Japanese title is "機巧童子ウルティモ" not "機巧童子ウルテイモ". Look on the Japanese page. わwaらraうu Smile! 07:31, 22 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

New infobox

edit

I was just deabating whether that would be better than the infobox we have now. — J U M P G U R U ask㋐㋜㋗ 00:10, 12 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Technically this is a manga series, so it should use the manga box. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 00:37, 12 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Is it just me or is "The series was inked in by Daigo and painted by Bob" really hilarious. >D — J U M P G U R U ask㋐㋜㋗ 17:10, 13 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

C-class

edit

In my point of view this should be just about a C-class. I just brought up this topic on the talk page to make sure with you. : ) — J U M P G U R U ask㋐㋜㋗ 01:24, 13 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Would be better to ask for an assessment from the project :) -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 01:59, 13 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
How do you do that... -_- Just go to the talk page and ask? — J U M P G U R U ask㋐㋜㋗ 02:08, 13 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Post a request at Wikipedia:WikiProject Anime and manga/Assessment#Requests for assessment (new requests go to the bottom of the list) :) -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 02:17, 13 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. I posted it. Now I will be getting some third-party sources in. — J U M P G U R U ask㋐㋜㋗ 02:59, 13 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Compliance with B-Class

edit

On the tab for compliance with B-class it says that the sourcing and referencing is failed. I don't get it. I basically murdered the page with reliable sources, placing them every square inch of the page. — J U M P G U R U ask㋐㋜㋗ 17:20, 13 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

There is a hidden note there about that. :) -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 17:37, 13 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
I see. Anyway I just deleted the sources that don't work anymore. About accuracy? Is there anything I can do about that? — J U M P G U R U ask㋐㋜㋗ 17:52, 13 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
I dunno about that, but supporting materials should be easy, you just need an image for the infobox. ;) —Dinoguy1000 18:37, 13 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Thank you Dinoguy1000. I found a good image here, is it okay to use images from blogs? — J U M P G U R U ask㋐㋜㋗ 01:04, 14 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
I'm inclined to say no. Without knowing where they got that image, its hard to say if its legit or a fan creation. When the series ran in Shonen Jump, was it on the cover? If so, I'd say that be the image to use. Is it supposed to be a full series eventually (since the first chapter is called the prologue)? If so, maybe just wait till the first volume is printed. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 05:52, 14 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yes it does have it on the cover. We can just edit it to make it just the logo. — J U M P G U R U ask㋐㋜㋗ 16:59, 14 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Project consensus is to use manga/VHS/DVD cover scans or promo posters/material/what-have-you instead of logos, for several reasons. The full cover of the SJ issue it appeared on should suffice until the first volume comes out (whenever that might be). —Dinoguy1000 20:49, 14 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
That wouldn't make any sense. The issue it was on has a massive picture of Ichigo from Bleach on it. Ultimo is just a thing in the corner. — J U M P G U R U ask㋐㋜㋗ 23:38, 14 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
How bout this image. I think it looks pretty good. : ) What do you think Collect? — J U M P G U R U ask㋐㋜㋗ 23:48, 14 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
It still has no source and, as noted above, doesn't meet the usual list of desirable images. ANN has no problems using fan images (most anime pages have them), so we can't presume its official because its there. I'm inclined to agree with Dinoguy to just wait for the first volume of the main series. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 01:47, 15 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
I agree. But let me just tell you, that image is from the old Jump SQ.II website, I remember. However the page is now redesigned for the next issue and does not have it anymore. It's sadly not waybacked either. -_- — J U M P G U R U ask㋐㋜㋗ 01:54, 15 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
The accuracy seems good, but the coverage still lacks a bit: the article still requires a reception section. The plot also seems a but short at the moment. Some fields in the infobox are also lacking (i.e. number of issues) G.A.Stalk 05:49, 14 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
About the reception... Suprisingly I can't find any reviews for the series. The closest thing to a review is what the users at ANN said about it. But we CAN NOT use that. — J U M P G U R U ask㋐㋜㋗ 16:59, 14 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

How about the issue of Jump SQ.II it was in. See [1]. If it doesn't load go back and then go forward, sometimes S-Manga.Net is weird like that. — J U M P G U R U ask㋐㋜㋗ 17:56, 15 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

ComiPress

Is ComiPress a reliable source? I wanted to make sure before I use one. — J U M P G U R U ask㋐㋜㋗ 00:49, 20 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

I think it is considered WP:RS (hope so, anyway, as its used in DB and Naruto's articles as well :P) -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 01:42, 20 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Lol, but I accidentally made a redirect to this page called Karakuridojo Ultimo. I spelled it wrong, and created the page thinking it was spelled "Dôjo" not "Dôji"... and now it needs to be deleted. わwaらraうu Smile! 21:56, 22 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Hm...I don't know how to delete redirects. AnmaFinotera, do you know how to delete redirects? — J U M P G U R U ask㋐㋜㋗ 23:25, 22 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
You just delete the page... It's still a page, it just has a redirect on it. わwaらraうu Smile! 23:31, 22 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
I nominated it for deletion. You can view it here. わwaらraうu Smile! 00:10, 23 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
The appropriate thing would have been to tag it with a CSD tag for author requests deletion, not send it to AfD. I've gone through and corrected this and requested the AfD be deleted. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 00:34, 23 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Its okay...just takes time to learn a lot of the nuancy stuff :) I just realized you got like a really barebones welcome back in June, so hope you don't mind but I left you another one that has more links, and I think is more useful :) -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 02:52, 23 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

First pic

edit

I was thinking about uploading this image which is not a fan work and was originally from the Jump SQ.II (Second) page. I am going to put it in the production section. Comments? — J U M P G U R U ask㋐㋜㋗ 03:38, 23 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

No source and really doesn't add anything of value to the production section. It isn't production type info without actual details and citations. Non-free images should either be identifiers in the infobox or supported by critical discussion. This would not be, and as it would only be illustrative, it isn't needed. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 03:41, 23 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Is the Shonen Jump issue image okay on this article? : ( — J U M P G U R U ask㋐㋜㋗ 16:11, 23 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Right now, it only needs one image, the one in the infobox. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 19:28, 23 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Oh...oops. — J U M P G U R U ask㋐㋜㋗ 22:55, 23 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Japanese volume 1

edit

Because I don't feel like updating the article right now, just dropping a line to say volume 1 was released by Shueisha on July 3, 2009.[2] We can also replace the infobox image now (if a large enough cover image can be found). ダイノガイ千?!? · Talk⇒Dinoguy1000 21:27, 27 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Clean-up

edit

I tried editing some of the clunky writing, but I still left a mess. I am preparing the page for its eventual split since the series is clearly becoming much larger (main, manga, perhaps characters, etc). I mostly wonder if what I have done so far is okay and that I am moving the page into the right direction. If not, I will focus on trimming the unimportant things from here. Macron or circumflex

edit

The article treats all circumflexes (ô), where necessary, as macrons (ō). If there is no particular reason for this, I will act myself to replace them. Spindori (talk) 16:19, 26 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Needs updating

edit

I seems to me like this page badly needs to be updated. The series has been out for a while now and has plenty of content available. Even the list of Chapters is grossly incomplete. This page really needs a massive overhaul. The Great Morgil (talk) 00:39, 16 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Not to mention that Ekoda is dead(by Vice fatally stabbing him), Hiroshi and Machi are injured and the rest of the good doji but Sophia have new masters, Regula and Sayama Makoto, and the rest of Yamato's classmates are now doji masters as well, Pardonner and Kiyose Matsumoto, Slow and Akitsu Otake, and Goge and Hibari Oume(her relation to Kaizo Oume, the master of evil doji Avaro is unclear). --76.8.167.12 (talk) 16:06, 20 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Karakuri Dôji UltimoUltimo (manga) – English-language reliable sources refer to the manga only as "Ultimo", not "Karakuri Dôji" or with Ultimo as some subtitle. See:

Not to mention Viz itself refers to it as Ultimo:

The current title also doesn't count as a WP:NATURALDIS since it isn't commonly used in reliable sources. Opencooper (talk) 05:22, 29 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
