Kaoliang
edit"Kaoliang" is a shorthand name used in English for the liquor properly called "gaoliang jiu." See http://teamasters.blogspot.com/2006/02/kaoliang-wine-with-chinese-medicine.html or http://www.taipeitimes.com/News/front/archives/2003/02/20/195213 , etc. Badagnani 03:42, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

How about?
editMoving Kaoliang, Gaoliang to Sorghum? Moving Kaoliang Ju, Kaoliang Wine, Kaoliang Liquor, Gaoliang Jiu, Gaoliang Wine, Kaoliang Liquor to (Gaoliang Jiu or Kaoliang Ju)? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Vloeibaarglas (talk • contribs) 06:50, 28 February 2009 (UTC)
- The English name for this liquor is "Kaoliang." Please see the above searches. Badagnani (talk) 06:15, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
- Kaoliang =! Kaoliang Liquor. It is not an english word, but rather a direct transliteration. There is no reason whatsoever to redirect the Hanyu Pinyin/Chinese word for sorghum to a globally less accepted Taiwanese/Tongyong Pinyin for the same word (to make the matter worse, which has been confused with a liquor). --Vloeibaarglas (talk) 03:58, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
