Black hair edit
The importance of the colour of his hair is stressed in the article yet I find it much more interesting that he actually had black hair - since both his mother and Philip IV had fair hair! Isn't fair hair supposed to be a recessive trait? Perhaps it's not that simple? Surtsicna (talk) 19:57, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
- Is the portrait even really of him? Couldn't it be a falsely stereotypical portrayal of a Spaniard? For example Queen Catherine of Aragonhad always been portrayed in the media with dark hairs and eyes even though she had reddish-blond hair and blue eyes.--Queen Elizabeth II's Little Spy (talk) 19:54, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
- Saw this comment about the "raven black hair" in the article, but I very much doubt it after having a look at a picture of him as a boy in the Spanish article. La Calderona image edit
I removed this image: it was inappropriately placed, the article isnt big enough to support a relatively irrelevant image, and she has her own article now. -- LaNaranja (talk) 18:43, 28 July 2010 (UTC)

Moved as proposed. There is no opposition to changing the title; disagreement only focuses on what the target should be. For the sake of consistency with other noted translations of names, I am moving as initially proposed. John of Austria the Younger → John Joseph of Austria – Apparently he is almost never known by this style in the literature (compare Google Books hits for "John Joseph of Austria" and "John of Austria the Younger". - "Juan José of Austria" and "Juan José de Austria" seem to be the most common in recent English-language sources. ngrams BegbertBiggs (talk) 23:51, 21 November 2020 (UTC)
- Support Juan José de Austria, seems to be commonly used in English, including Britannica here, so I don't think WP:ENGLISH is an argument against in this case.--Ortizesp (talk) 18:49, 26 November 2020 (UTC)
