Career
editIt would be good to have something about his training in Britain and his brief singles career and what prompted him to go doubles.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.152.23.62 (talk) 09:22, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
Personal life
editThe assertion that Murray dated Alona Bondarenko is dubious. If you follow the link citation, it is merely an article saying that Bondarenko wanted to be his mixed doubles partner. Wikipedia is rather tabloid-esque at times. That's what happens when you let anyone write it I suppose. I am not a Wikipedia member so I'd suggest that someone who is removes it. It's mistakes like this that put me off being part of it.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.173.5.196 (talk) 10:19, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Jamie Murray (tennis) → Jamie Murray — The tennis Jamie Murray is clearly the most notable Jamie Murray. The only other Jamie Murray is Jamie Murray (The Real World). There can be a hat tip to the Real World cast member on the tennis player's page (along with possibly a hat tip to James Murray) — rst20xx (talk) 22:47, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

Should prior profession of Alejandra Gutierrez be listed?
editThere appears to be a bit of an edit war over the past several months regarding the listing of the prior profession of Alejandra Gutierrez in this article. Disturbingly, none of the myriad of IPs and SPA accounts appear to have ever started an actual discussion about the mention here on the talk page, so I'll start the discussion.
I see a couple questions about the mention.
- Is it relevant on an article about Jamie Murray? To me, it appears to be tangentally related material, not directly relevant to a reader's understanding of Jamie Murray (the subject of the article).
- Is it reliably sourced? Even if an argument exists to include the mention in this article, it should be substantiated by a reference cited to a reliable source. So far, I'm not seeing a reliable source listed.
Given the above, at this time I'm not seeing a case for including it in the article. But, I'm open to hearing discussion from both sides on this. --- Barek (talk • contribs) - 14:41, 4 July 2011 (UTC)
May I just say that there has been strong influence from fans of several JM forums here. Most probably because the person in question Alejandra,or someone close to her,put formal title in front of her name, very specific in details, that only she could know. Many who witnessed her family blog-not so prefined in terms of her relation to Jamie, wanted to reveal the truth. There has been controversy about her since.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.148.229.1 (talk) 13:36, 17 August 2012 (UTC)
What is this?
editJust looking around Wikipedia tennis pages and found this gem:
"In 2012, he made it into the men's singles final, against Roger Federer, winning in straight sets 6-4 6-2 6-0."
Uh, what? These two players, according to ATP, have never faced off, and in any case Jamie Murray wouldn't ever beat Roger Federer by that score. Can someone clarify what this is? Savvy10 (talk) 14:31, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
- It's been removed by another person(s). Evidently it was just someone's attempt at humour. --Τασουλα (talk) 16:36, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
