Number of matches

@Lugnuts: Sorry to mention this again! I still believe the sentence stating the number of matches (due to be) played should include all T20Is/WT20Is, including those that are listed on the associate season summary. Omitting things like the global qualifiers from the number of matches played doesn't seem right. i.e. instead of "Currently, XX Tests, XX One Day Internationals (ODIs), XX Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), XX Women's One Day Internationals (WODIs), XX Women's Twenty20 Internationals (WT20Is), and XX women's Test matches are scheduled to be played during this period. Additionally, a number of other T20I/WT20I matches are also scheduled to be played in series involving associate nations.", could it be "...to be played during this period, including series involving associate nations." We have already discussed the grey area between what should be on this page and what should be on the other one (both pages include at least some T20Is/WT20I that involve either one or two full/associate members). I think we have the balance about right, with the possible exception of the global qualifiers, but feel that all matches should be counted in the totals. Bs1jac (talk) 16:13, 7 February 2022 (UTC)

I just remembered, the other thing is whether that number at the end of a season should be the number of matches actually played, or the number attempted (including washouts with no toss), or planned (including tours cancelled or cut short). I think it should be played+attempted only. Problem the last couple of years especially is that tour schedules have changed so often, even for full members, with number of games reduced from originally planned.
