Impact on prisons? edit

There are lots of articles about Coronavirus in prisons. Shouldn't we be creating a section for that? Kire1975 (talk) 03:34, 18 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Never mind. Kire1975 (talk) 03:37, 18 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

  • It has been nearly a month since posting this nomination. Please provide a QPQ or it will be closed as unsuccessful. Thank you, Yoninah (talk) 05:29, 13 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
  •   This article is new enough and long enough. The hook facts are cited inline, the article is neutral and I detected no copyright issues. A QPQ has been done. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:02, 15 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
  •   Hi, I came by to promote this, but I feel the hook is misleading. The lead immediately says it caused a decrease in some organized-criminal activities, while providing new opportunities in other areas. I think it would be more effective to write a hook about one or two examples, not to make a sweeping statement like this. Yoninah (talk) 22:47, 16 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Please also remove the close paraphrasing here:
  • Source: The disruption caused by coronavirus has been quickly exploited by some criminal groups as a 'window' to scale up their activities.
  • Article: The report states that the disruption caused by the pandemic has been exploited by some criminal groups as an opportunity to scale up their activities.

I will make changes to the article soon and suggest alternate hooks as well. Thank you. DTM (talk) 10:55, 18 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
Fixed the close paraphrasing, expanded the article. Just an update, still working. DTM (talk) 11:46, 20 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
I wasn't sure whether to just put one DYK hook or many, but I guess I will go ahead with many since I personally can't decide which one to choose. DTM (talk) 13:51, 22 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
I checked the Polish police hook, it is ok (refs, neutrality, etc.). --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 04:36, 23 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
  •  : Approving ALT1–6 with ALT2 preferred. Everything else checks out, including the copyvio (it shows copyvio from [2] but it was published in May 15 but the text was added in the article before May 15), QPQ done, and neutrally written. ~~ CAPTAIN MEDUSAtalk 14:39, 2 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Sources and References edit

The sources listed within the article do come from an array of authors and publications. However, the latest information referenced has not been since April 2020; I would recommend looking for additional/recent information to add to the article.
