Class parametersEdit

Note: Levels GA ( Good article) and FA, FM, FL (Featured content), are assessments made by the community, rather than by this WikiProjects. GAs are generally reviewed by one or two editors and FA, FM, FL by a panel. Candidates are nominated by listing them at WP:Good article nominations, WP:Featured article candidates, Wikipedia:Featured list candidates and Wikipedia:Featured pictures nominations.

An article's quality assessment is generated from the class parameter in the {{WikiProject COVID-19}} project banner on its talk page:

{{WikiProject COVID-19|class=???}}

The following values may be used for the class parameter to describe the quality of the article (see Wikipedia:Content assessment for assessment criteria):

FA (for featured articles only; adds articles to Category:FA-Class COVID-19 articles)   FA
A (adds articles to Category:A-Class COVID-19 articles)   A
GA (for good articles only; adds articles to Category:GA-Class COVID-19 articles)   GA

List (adds articles to Category:List-Class COVID-19 articles) List
SIA (for set index articles; adds articles to Category:SIA-Class COVID-19 articles) SIA

For non-standard grades and non-mainspace content, the following values may be used for the class parameter:

Category (for categories; adds pages to Category:Category-Class COVID-19 articles) Category
Disambig (for disambiguation pages; adds pages to Category:Disambig-Class COVID-19 articles) Disambig
Draft (for drafts; adds pages to Category:Draft-Class COVID-19 articles) Draft

Importance parametersEdit

An article's importance assessment is generated from the importance parameter in the {{WikiProject COVID-19}} project banner on its talk page:

{{WikiProject COVID-19|importance =???}}

The following values may be used for the importance parameter to indicate an articles status.

COVID-19 epidemiology articles

COVID-19 location articles

COVID-19 society articles

Other parametersEdit

In-addition to the content assessment parameters as seen above, there are other parameters including size option and parameters to call attention to wanted and lacking items along with a biography specific category parameter.

WikiProject COVID-19 (Rated Project-class, Low-importance)
 This page is within the scope of WikiProject COVID-19.
Project This article has been rated as Project-Class on the project's quality scale.
 Low  This article has been rated as Low-importance on the project's importance scale.
More information:
This article has been marked as needing immediate attention.
This article has been marked as needing an infobox.
It is requested that an image or images be included in this page to improve its quality.
This page lacks sufficient references and/or adequate inline citations.
  • listas – This parameter, which is the equivalent of the DEFAULTSORT sortkey that should be placed on all biographical articles, is a sortkey for the article talk page (e.g. for Li Wenliang, use |listas=Wenliang, Li so that the talk page will show up in the W's and not the L's of the various assessment and administrative categories). This is important because it is one source used by those who set DEFAULTSORT on the article; consider also setting the DEFAULTSORT for the article when setting this parameter. For more information about this, please see Wikipedia:Categorization of people § Ordering names in a category.
    It is not required if another WikiProject template on the same page has its own |listas= set, since it not only affects categories used by the banner in which it is set, but it also affects the sortkey of all other banners and templates.
  • small – this parameter is no longer supported and can safely be removed from the template.
  • attention – set |attention=yes if the article needs immediate attention from experienced editors. Use only if another parameter does not cover the need for attention; this should be used sparingly. It is strongly encouraged to also add a section to the talk page explaining what needs attention.
  • needs-image – set |needs-image=yes to request that a picture or pictures be included in the article to improve its quality.
  • needs-infobox – set |needs-infobox=yes if the article needs an infobox. Remember that infoboxes are not suitable for all articles, and can overwhelm short articles.
  • unref – set |unref=yes To request more references and/or adequate inline citations
