Wikiprojects edit

Really, should this guy be in the christianity and chess wikiprojects? Did he do anything remotely noteworthy in either? I know him as a creator of mathematical puzzles - why isn't he in the mathematics wikiproject? He's best known for the triangle-square disection. 131.111.245.195 (talk) 11:55, 2 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

He may well be already, maths do not have to have an assessment box so I'm lead to believe. SunCreator (talk) 00:04, 29 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Haberdasher's puzzle edit

Permission was given for this nice animation but this subject does deserve an article of its own. I've read that it's considered Dudeney's greatest work. — Xiongtalk* 10:32, 14 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ancestry edit

The ancestry of Henry Dudeney is disputed and in particular his relationship to John Dudeney.

His father Gilbert was the son of Henry Dudeney and Edith nee Davidge, being baptised at Tunbridge Wells Wesleyan on 28 Jan 1825.

No baptism for this Henry has yet been located; it is possible John was his father in which case the relationship of Henry Ernest to John would be Great-grandson and not Grandson.
