Ancestry edit

Is Heidi Fleiss German American? The name Heidi plus the last name Fleiss make this seem very likely.

She's Jewish. I don't know where her ancestors where from, maybe Germany, maybe elsewhere in Europe.

Yes I do believe she is indeed Jewish. I remember reading it in some article. Manic Hispanic 01:57, 9 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

She's Jewish, but she's American. Schatzberg (talk) 08:32, 22 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

It is possible to be both German and Jewish, just like it is possible to be both American and Jewish. Bostoner (talk) 03:30, 13 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Credibility of sources edit

When talking about whether she had "serviced" Marlon Brando it shows a scan of the tabloid The Globe. Is that really a suitable source for such an accusation? Wangfoo 04:32, 11 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

I came to the talk page to see if there was already some discussion about it. I'm removing the text because The Globe, as a tabloid, is clearly not a credible source. --Deathphoenix ʕ 14:19, 1 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

That's not a picture of Heidi Fleiss edit

Thats a picture of Jamie-Lynn Siegler who played her in a movie. Jamie-Lynn Siegler is better known as Meadow Soprano from HBO's The Sopranos. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.193.76.126 (talk) 19:04, 12 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Removal of category edit

[WP:BLP] states that

Category names do not carry disclaimers or modifiers, so the case for the category must be made clear in the article text. The article must state the facts that result in the use of the category tag and these facts must be sourced.

Category tags regarding religious beliefs and sexual preference should not be used unless two criteria are met:

  • The subject publicly self-identifies with the belief or preference in question
  • The subject's beliefs or sexual preferences are relevant to the subject's notable activities or public life

Category tags that do not meet these criteria (i.e. case must be made in article text, subject must publicly self-identify with beliefs, beliefs must be relevant) will be deleted. Notmyrealname 18:24, 9 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Bio seems rather scant edit

The bio seems rather scant. What about her early teen years, running away and hooking up with the much older guy that got her "in" to the business in the first place? Who was that guy? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.131.142.147 (talk) 02:06, 27 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

And where her father is mentioned, there is no mention that he was a pediatrician. I'm not sure why that's a disturbing fact, but it is. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.215.115.31 (talk) 17:58, 25 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
Her father's profession is listed, while her mother's is not. Heidi's mother was an elementary school teacher, according to The Washington Post. Omitting her mother's profession could arguably be considered sexist. Readers may also assume that because Heidi's father was a successful doctor that her mother, Elissa Fleiss, did not work outside the home. Heidi is a serial entrepreneur; it seems relevant that her mother also had experience generating income. Smallworldwide (talk) 22:13, 12 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
I went ahead and did this for you, and left a message on your talk page with some links that will help you do it yourself next time. GA-RT-22 (talk) 16:52, 26 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Dead link edit

her website seems to be down.I have no idea whether it is permanent or not. I added a dead link tag to the external links. Don't know how to add one in the top box though. If someone could I would appreciate it. Tlatseg (talk) 08:08, 13 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

One of the most poorly written articles on Wikipedia edit

Picture edit

Is there a reason why the only two pictures on this article are exactly the same shot just cropped differently? Are there no other public pictures of her? 160.93.219.122 (talk) 13:43, 5 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Loveline Appearance edit

Fleiss appeared as a guest on the nationally syndicated radio program Loveline on February 7, 1996.

Should this be listed in media appearances? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.128.192.32 (talk) 19:39, 4 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
