Tribute edit

Why would the article say "the song is thus less a tribute [...] to Roy Harper" when it was clearly intended to be a tribute to the man? It seems to be a tradition of Zeppelin to build from classic Blues songs. 198.53.229.242 00:59, 31 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • WP:CAPS: "...unless they begin or end a title or subtitle" and Wikipedia:MUSTARD#Capitalization "Titles that include parentheses should be capitalized as though both the part inside and outside the parentheses are separate titles (e.g., "(Don't Fear) The Reaper")" —Justin (koavf)TCM☯ 22:11, 27 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
  • Isn't the current capitalization still correct? Even pretending it's a separate title, you wouldn't write "Hats Off To Harper". TJ Spyke 22:16, 27 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
  • The parenthesis implies the title alternate forms "Hats Off to Harper" and "Hats Off to Roy Harper" :: neither form should have "To" with a capital. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 23:20, 27 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
  • I don't think this song title quite complies with the CAPS rule quoted by Justin, in that the title outside of the parentheses ("Hats Off to Harper') would not capitalize the word "to". In short, the weird thing is that here the parentheses are in the middle of the title, which is rare, and I believe the CAPS rule was written for parentheses that appear at either the beginning or end of a title, such as "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" or "Living Loving Maid (She's Just a Woman)". This case calls for some flexibility. Don't move. DOOMSDAYER520 (Talk|Contribs) 18:56, 28 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
  • Comment Upon further reflection, you may be right... for the rare case of internal parenthesis, it may be useful to post to WT:MOS and see what feedback there is. —Justin (koavf)TCM☯ 08:01, 6 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
