On 7 June 2022, it was proposed that this article be moved from Kelly Sweet to Haliene. The result of the discussion was moved. |
probably valid article topic
editThis was deleted a couple times for being pure advertizing. However this person does look like she may be a legitimate subject for an article, so I've radically stubbed it. Friday (talk) 19:14, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
Recreated after research
editRan across this on Friday's discussion page - wish I would have seen the deleted versions. In any case, time spent creating article rather than simply speedily deleting. Tvccs 12:34, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
- The deleted version was first a copybio from her web site, then a tiny tiny stub- not much useful there, looks like you've go it covered pretty well. Thanks for the rewrite. Friday (talk) 14:02, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
Let's improve this article
editI really like Kelly Sweet's music so that let's improve this article. Her music style is a mix of Jazz and Classical. --Laura.hernandez (talk) 02:53, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
2 singers, same name
editI think there are two singers with the same name...
...I think this has confused everyone here already. I believe the album "We Are One" is by the other Kelly Sweet.[5] --Ne0 (talk) 09:15, 26 January 2012 (UTC)
I'm wrong probably wrong, since both of these photos are from the same profile, but I find it hard to believe that this photo and this photo are the same person. --Ne0 (talk) 19:34, 26 January 2012 (UTC)
50.53.9.196 (talk) 01:04, 8 November 2012 (UTC)You're wrong :) Amazing the difference dying and cutting your hair can make. They are both definitely the same Kelly Sweet.
Merger proposal
editI propose that the content of Draft:HALIENE be merged into this page. It is clear from various Sweet music videos and Haliene’s latest release that both artists are the same person and the content can be used to expand this article as it is without causing undue weight. 99.203.30.12 (talk) 22:14, 4 April 2018 (UTC)

Kelly Sweet → Haliene – Haliene is now a more recognizable name than her real name, and most recent reliable sources refer to her by said stage name. Surprisingly this article is quite old, and her activity under her real name isn't as relevant anymore. EDM fan 2 (talk) 04:33, 7 June 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. - Oppose - I haven't seen any evidence that Kelly Sweet and Haliene are the same person. Please could you provide some sources confirming this? Thanks — Amakuru (talk) 19:55, 13 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Amakuru: See the first source in the article, it mentions that she worked under her legal name, and her studio album Ashes of my Paradise. This source is an interview, but the publisher is credible enough to be reliable. You may also look at a draft that was started under her stage name at Draft:HALIENE. Mori Calliope fan talk 20:23, 13 June 2022 (UTC)
- Comment: the artist's last work (per her discography page) under her real name is about five years old and it's abundantly clear that Haliene is her primary artist name now. However, very few of the singles released under Haliene that are listed on that discog page are mentioned in the article, and notability may be a concern regarding those. I think we may need to prove notability of those newer releases before we can definitively call Haliene the more notable name.
- Although looking at it further, that discog page displays very little in terms of notability for any listed releases. A handful of releases charted which is a start, but there doesn't appear to be any reliable coverage in that whole page. Perhaps that negates my above concern, I dunno, but it does become clear that the discog page needs some work. QuietHere (talk) 10:21, 14 June 2022 (UTC)
- I don't think notability of her latest songs really matters per WP:NAMECHANGES; what does matter is whether recent sources have switched to predominantly using "Haliene". — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 15:53, 15 June 2022 (UTC)
