Jif commercial edit

As his most mainstream success is saying "that flow crazy" in the Ludacris Jif commercial, it should be included here.2601:182:4381:E60:BD7A:135:CE5E:1C5B (talk) 01:34, 3 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

– Sergio Giavanni Kitchens is clearly the primary topic for Gunna per an overwhelming amount of page views compared to any other pages by the name. If you aren't convinced here is a chart comparing the Gunna (rapper) article's views to all the other Gunna articles. Not only that but the current outgoing traffic for the disambiguation page is at a staggering 95% for the rapper. There is also no term for Gunna that has long-term significance. Such a move should be obvious. Célestin Denis (talk) 22:28, 3 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

  • Support. I agree with the nominator's rationale that this is clearly the primary topic. Aoba47 (talk) 22:48, 3 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
Oppose - 'Gunna' is only used as a nickname. I would, however support moving the article to Sergio Giavanni Kitchens. Faster than Thunder (talk | contributions) 16:44, 4 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
That would definitely be against convention. Commonly used stage names are preferable to birth names. 162 etc. (talk) 17:39, 4 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
Moving to Sergio Giavanni Kitchens would go against WP:COMMONNAME. This would be extremely confusing to anyone. Célestin Denis (talk) 22:44, 4 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
His real name is NOT his WP:COMMONNAME at all. 2600:6C40:547F:CDA8:5DB0:106E:93E1:5510 (talk) 00:10, 5 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Comment See also an earlier discussion at Talk:Gunna, Scotland, which did not indicate a desire to make this article a primary topic. 162 etc. (talk) 17:39, 4 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Weak oppose, I think it's still fine to have DAB at base name.--Ortizesp (talk) 14:45, 5 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose. No primary topic here. -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:45, 7 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
If this is not an example of a primary topic what would be one? Sergio Giavanni Kitchen checks out the per usage criteria of WP:PRIMARYTOPIC which states that "A topic is primary for a term with respect to usage if it is highly likely—much more likely than any other single topic, and more likely than all the other topics combined—to be the topic sought when a reader searches for that term." which obviously seems to be the case here per the numbers I have provided. Célestin Denis (talk) 21:17, 7 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
There's also the long-term significance clause, which he does not meet. -- Necrothesp (talk) 10:23, 8 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
I absolutely think that Sergio Giavanni Kitchens has substantially greater enduring notability and educational value than any other topic associated with Gunna and I'm not seeing any arguments as to why an inhabited island or a 2005 relatively unknown movie might hold more. Célestin Denis (talk) 00:18, 9 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Weak oppose the island probably has more long-term significance. Crouch, Swale (talk) 20:43, 7 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
The 4 Gunna articles have 2,580,059 views combined and Gunna the rapper constitutes 2,558,908 of those views. 95% of the people landing on the disambiguation go to the rapper's article. Are we really about to reject Sergio Giavanni Kitchens as the primary topic because of some fairly unknown and unpopulated 1⁄4 sq mile island in Ireland? Sure the island existed for longer but it is insignificant when compared to the rapper. I doubt this island will ever overshadow the rapper and in the extremely unlikely event that it does, nothing stops future Wikipedians from moving the article. Wikipedia is not a crystal ball and as of now, the rapper is, by usage, the primary topic despite the island's long existence. WP:PRIMARYTOPIC states "While long-term significance is a factor, historical age is not determinative.", I think it would be a severe overstatement to claim that the island is historically significant. Célestin Denis (talk) 21:15, 7 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
Did we deny Adele as the primary topic because of Adele, Kentucky? Célestin Denis (talk) 21:22, 7 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
Are you really comparing Gunna to Adele?! Absolutely no comparison in notability. -- Necrothesp (talk) 10:25, 8 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
I am not saying they are at the same level of notability, obviously Adele is more notable, I'm only using this as a way to show how primary topics should not be declined because of the existence of geographical locations with historical age. Célestin Denis (talk) 00:12, 9 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Support. The rapper gets more than 100x the monthly pageviews of all other items on the DAB page combined. Additionally, oppose arguments thus far have offered no arguments as to why an uninhabited island or a little-discussed 2005 film would have enough long-term significance to outweigh this disparity.
