United Kingdom Vs Great Britain

edit

As greyhound racing is regulated in Great Britain by the BGRB/ British Greyhound Racing Board and in Northern Ireland by the Irish Coursing Club, should this paged be moved to Greyhound racing in Great Britain or a new page created with this name?Towerrumble (talk) 14:17, 22 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

If nobody objects I shall move this page in 7 days time. Towerrumble (talk) 08:04, 1 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Removed a sentence as not notable in the scheme of the article, a newspaper quote by Nick Weston, who is the Head of Campaigns for the League Against Cruel Sports has no place on a wikipedia encyclopedia article page. Quotes can be found both pro and anti greyhound racing anywhere on the internet so please can editors who add information on this page check first to see if it a sensationalistic piece such as this latest newspaper piece. The League Against Cruel Sports (and other similar groups) are activist groups who do not agree with animals in sport i.e horses, dogs etc and are renowned for campaigning as such. Another sentence removed regarding a poll funded by Grey2UK or Caged. Please note the mission statement of these organisations is to ban greyhound racing, so using them as a reference goes against WP:NPOV and WP:RSUW. The article simply states history, rules and official statistics. Racingmanager (talk) 18:30, 30 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
