Pretty Girls Make Graves.
editUhm, what do you think of adding a section mentioning prestigious houses from this region? If such a list is inappropriate or widely available elsewhere, perhaps we could provide a link to one? I wound up on this page looking for one such list and was disappointed to see only one true Graves wine listed, along with some sauternes. :P —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.32.117.131 (talk) 04:34, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: For the first request, there is consensus for a move to Graves (wine region). For the second request, there is consensus to not move the page. There is also consensus to redirect the current title to grave per WP:PLURALPT. (non-admin closure) JudgeRM (talk to me) 23:34, 23 December 2016 (UTC)
– This is not the primary topic for this name. I'd wager most people would think of "Graves" as the plural of grave before a subregion of a wine region, or perhaps Graves' disease. WP:PRIMARYTOPIC is clearly not met as Graves (TV series) is dwarfing this article with regards to pageviews. Also, whenever views for this article go up, the Graves disambiguation page shoots up as well, so readers are clearly not getting what they want from this setup. - Support first move per nom. Moving the disambiguation to the ambiguous title is sufficient for now, though I think that "graves" should be a WP:PLURALPT for Grave. Steel1943 (talk) 22:54, 16 December 2016 (UTC)
- Since I noticed that others are opposing per me ... and I don't think I actually made it clear what I opposed or if I even opposed anything ... I guess I'll make it official. Oppose moving Graves (disambiguation) to Graves since Graves should target Grave per WP:PLURALPT. Steel1943 (talk) 21:29, 23 December 2016 (UTC)
- Support per nom, and also Steel1943's suggestion of WP:PLURALPT as the standard way to deal with plurals. ‑‑YodinT 00:08, 17 December 2016 (UTC)
- Support for now per nom. Though I also think that "graves" should be a WP:PLURALPT for Grave as @Steel1943: and @Yodin: say.- But preferably with better disambiguator Graves (wine region) or Graves (Bordeaux). In ictu oculi (talk) 09:11, 17 December 2016 (UTC)
- Support per nom, although I endorse that 'wine region' would be better than 'wine', given the focus of the article. It's the pronounciation of course that distinguishes in spoken English (rhymes with 'carve', not 'caves'), but no-one has yet found a way to register that in search boxes! Pincrete (talk) 13:53, 18 December 2016 (UTC)
- "rhymes with 'carve', not 'caves'" -- in arhotic dialects of English. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 05:54, 20 December 2016 (UTC)
- Support first move, but oppose second, as per Steel1943. Srnec (talk) 03:48, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
- Support first move and oppose second per Steel1943 and Srnec. —BarrelProof (talk) 05:56, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
- Move to Graves (wine region) and redirect this page to grave. The proposed title makes it sound like a type of wine. kennethaw88 • talk 06:51, 20 December 2016 (UTC)
- Yes, that may be better, or perhaps Graves AOC or Graves wine region. See Category:French wine AOCs. —BarrelProof (talk) 07:44, 20 December 2016 (UTC)
