The very first source cited in the article has very extensive coverage of this subject. In addition the Blacks in Blackface: A Sourcebook on Early Black Musical Shows source includes two different Billboard Magazine writeups, the first pretty substantial and the second shorter but noting and quoting from reviews Gonzell and her act received in the Midwest. So clesry there was other substantial coverage. In addition tot he other cites, some of them just mentions but not insignificant (for example her group being a launching point and influence for exceptionally notable artists, and notability is well established.
