Novels only for the workers?

edit

'Her first review was submitted in 1849. During that time, novels were seen as something for only the working-class people.'

We would need to see a pretty good citation for that one. Most workers couldn't read and write at that time, and many upper and middle-class women had ample leisure, which they filled with novel-reading. Valetude (talk) 16:51, 5 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Carnal relationships?

edit

There is no evidence for any of Jewsbury's relationships with men or women being carnal.100.12.218.240 (talk) 08:39, 2 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
