Hello, please stop removing the 4th link in the external link page. The page linked to does have more about Genevieve Nnaji, doesn't it? Have you read the page before deleting the link? Wikipedia should work together with other websites to provide people with information. Even her official website is a dead link so where do people get detailed information about her if you keep deleting this link?! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.102.222.138 (talk) 12:53, 1 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

I saw only one external link, and I have removed it. It led to a magazine page 'taster' for an article to buy, and contained not one piece of useful information.
A photograph of Genevieve Nnaji would be helpful for this page, but please note that any photograph posted must conform to Wikipedia and other legal rules. More information here. Basically, there must be no copyright limitations on any picture posted - so the organisation owning the photograph must agree to this. This can be you, if you took the photograph yourself.

Official Data about Genevieve not available

edit
Unfortunately, prominent personalities from Nigeria are not properly organized. They do not have good agents, managers or management companies. They do not care about having an updated website, neither do they care about having an up-to-date wikipedia article that contains at least one current picture and original information about themselves. This is why most articles on wikipedia which feature nigerian prominent personalities are poorly created, are void of any pictures and verifiable information. The information on this article about Genevieve comes only from private unverifiable sources. Thus, wikipedia admins might as well go ahead and delete this article and other articles featuring nigerian prominent personalities, since there is no official data about Genevieve or any other nigerian prominent personality.

Please REFRAIN from adding information without any reference or source. The entire article of Genevieve Nnaji is completely unsourced. Attempts are being made presently to convince Genevieve Nnaji to release her official biography and filmography. Any information added that does not have any reference or source will be deleted. Thank you. Amsaim (talk) 14:07, 31 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

In the meanwhile I've been able to trace verifiable information about Genevieve Nnaji on the internet from reliable sources (news organizations, online magazines, online newspapers etc.), and so the article is now properly referenced and sourced.

Oprah's Recognition of Genevieve

edit

Can some one please help me write those sentences at the last paragraph. I cited oprah show and modernghana.com as sources and couldnot do it right. It keeps showing on her entry page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 152.6.250.5 (talk) 16:50, 1 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Asking for help on this discussion page is what you ought to have done in the first place before vandalizing the page 3 times over. The sources you presented are not reliable sources.
In my opinion, Nnaji being mentioned for a mere 10 seconds on the Oprah show is totally irrelevant to be included into the wikipedia article. You do not see on wikipedia articles of other actresses (like Cameron Diaz or Jennifer Aniston), the number of times these actresses appeared on Oprah or the Letterman show. Amsaim (talk) 20:47, 1 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

So you are telling me that Oprah recognising some one is not a big deal. She was mentioned as the highest paid actress in Africa or Nigeria and I did not vandalise her page. Your word usage is poor. And yes, I have seen other actresses like the examples you mentioned having such mentioned on their entry. For example, so so and so appeared on the Late night show or the like. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 152.6.250.5 (talk) 12:44, 2 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Genevieve Nnaji fulfills the priority assessment requirements for the "High" Priority scale label as she is well-known in the film industry, and she is already included in print encyclopedias and film books (see sources below).[1][2][3] Amsaim (talk) 21:02, 30 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
