The line you're referring to is "Despite the increased competition the Fargodome has always remained profitable." That doesn't sound very biased against the Fargodome to me. Regardless, I was not the person who placed this line in the article, yet I have removed it so this talk page doesn't become any longer. --MatthewUND^(talk) 08:52, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

I assure you that nothing about this article is an attempt to get "publicity" for anything. The event centers that you mention are not in direct competition with Fargo for events like the events centers located elsewhere in the Red River Valley are. --MatthewUND^(talk) 23:22, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

Coppyrighted material

I just removed a mass inclusion of copyrighted material taken from this external website. No one can claim anymore that the Fargodome is in any way being treated unfairly with references to its competitors in this article. The articles for the Alerus Center and Ralph Engelstad Arena now list competitors of those arenas as well. --MatthewUND^(talk) 00:08, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the effort, but that just doesn't do it. The references to the Fargodome in the Alerus and REA articles do not call in to question the financial viability of those facilities because of the competition from the Fargodome, as does the corresponding reference in the Fargodome article. Again, your bias is showing. Either rewrite the reference to the Fargodome in the articles about the GF arenas, particularily Alerus, in a way that questions their finances, rewrite the reference in the Fargodome article to simply list its competitors or simply remove all the references entirely. As you can see, this article no longer mentions anything about the finances of the Fargodome. I was not the person who put this line in the article in the first place (it was one of the legion of anonymous IP users who are so fascinated with this particular article), yet I have removed it so this discussion can hopefully cease. --MatthewUND^(talk) 08:52, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

How come no other venue listed on Wikipedia references any other regional venues that 'have seen increased competition'? Seems like you're the only one determined to bully your bias here. Removing the finance information...why would you do that? By listing obvious competitors in an events center's article, it just makes that particular article that much more complete. Obvious competitors for the Alerus Center and Ralph Engelstad Arena are also prominently listed in those articles so the Fargodome isn't being treated unfairly in this article. --MatthewUND^(talk) 07:47, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

Grand Forks Bitterness

You can see the Grand Forks bitterness displayed everywhere. It is this petty bickering that keeps the state of North Dakota from moving forward. First it was the Fargodome and then it was NDSU going to Division I. The citizens of Grand Forks and alumni of UND in both scenarios have had to essentially eat their words. First Grand Forks (and many Fargo) folks said the Fargodome was going to fail and then Grand Forks attempts to build a facilty that is comparable. Then NDSU goes to Division I in college athletics and UND and their supporters were quick to bash that move. Now what is UND doing? Oh yeah, moving up to Division I athletics. But before doing so UND ended the longest running football rivalry over nothing. Keep up the good work there MatthewUND...you are a true representative of Grand Forks and Fargo hater and thus, a typical North Dakotan...complain about any and everything in regards to our communities...

No one needs to look far to see why outmigration of North Dakota is the best thing for a person to do. Capacity

Does anyone know where the full arena concerts capacity number came from? I believe that I have seen large displays in the Fargodome that put this number higher; similar to what is seen at http://www.vtrenz.net/imaeds/ownerassets/39/Kenny%20Rogers.pdf pg 2 beginning of last paragraph: The FARGODOME (www.fargodome.com) is a 27,000-seat multi-purpose facility.

Looking good. I just made a couple of very minor formatting changes. Usually, only the first word in a section title is in caps and, generally, there is only one blank line between sections. I also renamed the "Random facts" section to "Trivia" because that's the title usually used for sections like that. You might be interested in the Wikipedia:Manual of Style.
