I understand why EBCC rediretcs to here (European Bird Census Council), but why does EBBC redirect to here? Certainly not as a typo? What does that acronym stand for? wbm1058 (talk) 23:11, 20 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
For legacy reasons, presumably as a typo of EBCC. When the EBCC Atlas page was created by SP-KP and Pigsonthewing, Pigsonthewing also added a redirect from 'EBBC', presumably to cover for typos. Since this page now covers the EBCC, I moved the redirect over. With regards to WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, I'm impartial; EBBC is a very possible typo, and neither of the organisations linked in the hatnote go by that abbreviation any longer, however, the EBCC never actually went by the name EBBC, so I have no preference. If it's a typo, it should be tagged with {{R from typo}}, but then typos should not be listed in hatnotes; only valid spellings. I'll make it a disambiguation page; that's what I usually do in cases like this. Misspellings should never be made into primary topics. wbm1058 (talk) 18:51, 21 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
