While trying to find the date of death for this subject, I ran into a series of advertisements for an "Estelle T. Smith" practicing medicine in Des Moines in 1896 as a "graduate optician"; the subject then disappears from view until 1904, when advertisements for a "Dr. Estelle T. Smith" practicing medicine in Des Moines as an osteopath begin to appear. These continue until the end of 1904, and then in 1906 similar advertisements appear for a "Dr. Estelle T. Smith" practicing medicine in Long Beach, California, as an osteopathic physician. The last word I find on the subject is an April 1915 "ten years ago today" piece (i.e., referencing 1905) stating "Dr. Estelle T. Smith has opened an office in the Bixby building for the practice of osteopathy. She comes here from Des Moines, Iowa". ("Ten Years Ago Today", Long Beach Press-Telegram (April 5, 1915), p. 3).
