I notice that you have removed the cine film link to youtube, fair enough, but I would like to keep the one of Ray Lindwall Source as it clearly shows the process of dragging, which is not seen in modern cricket--Philipjelley (talk) 09:47, 31 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

In regard to Benaud leading "weak teams" the 1957-58 team that toured South Africa under Ian Craig was labelled the weakest to leave Australia by the Australian press (see Neil Harvey). Alec Bedser throught that he had the weakest bowling Australian bowling attack since the war in 1958-59, no Miller, Johnson, Johnston, Archer or Lindwall (until the last two Tests, when he was 37). Graveney wrote that the 1961 Australians were seen as the weakest team to visit England in living memory, remember Lawry and MacKenzie were unknowns, Benaud had an injured shoulder, Davidson was always suffering from one injury or another and they had to use Ken Mackay as a front line bowler. I do think that they suffered in that they were always compared to the exceptionally strong Australian teams of the 1940s and early 1950s.--Philipjelley (talk) 23:18, 2 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
