Conflict of Interest

edit

I have a conflict of interest to the subject of the article. I tried to stay objective (so I included plenty of references to very reliable sources). By cleaning up the article, I simply tried to make a fair and thorough page about the subject before someone else does in a less informative way. I am just not sure, how to go about someone "approving" the article from a "neutral point of view", so the "correction" tag can be removed! Thank you! Conflict of Interest with tiding up, and references

edit
  • 'I have re-edited the page in order to clear off ambiguity, provide proper references, and make the article neutral. There were previous contributions w/o proper references, etc. :
  • It was brought to my attention by one of the editors that such change should not have been made by me, but should have been requested. I was not aware that doing such clean-up should be requested to be done by others, those who have no conflict of interest. I am sorry. Now, I read the related wiki guides, and I am asking for the article to be approved by those, who have the right to do so (no conflict). Thank you!:

@Northofequator: Since you have a conflict of interest when it comes to Ballentine, you must declare it on your user page. Please do not make any further edits to this article. Instead, you may use the {{request edit}} when you have a suggestion that you can support with an independent reliable source.
@Cabayi: Since you tagged the article with {{COI}} could you please review the article again and either remove the tag or provide detailed suggestions for improvement? Thanks! GoingBatty (talk) 17:27, 21 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
The proper way to do it is to request the edits on the talk page so someone else can post it. I am not and ADMIN, so I can't say what should happen now, since the edits are posted, but they appear to be OK. I will not close this request, until another editor or admin with more knowledge reviews it. Zeddedm (talk) 01:37, 8 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
I am closing this for administrative purposes (to help clear the requested edit backlog). Given that the edits were done, I'm closing it as such. The edits (see e.g. Special:Diff/1048177357) contained issues, though it's clear there was a good faith effort, and the article, on the whole, improved. Some have been fixed in the intervening months, so I personally see no reason to request some sort of rollback or otherwise use administrative time and resources.
