Suggest change of title to 'History of seismicity in Japan'

edit

This article should be named 'History of seismicity in Japan' as seismology refers to the scientific study of earthquakes and other things seismic, whereas 'seismicity' refers to the occurrence of earthquakes, which is obviously what this page is about. I'll do this in a few days unless someone objects. There is no reason, of course, why there shouldn't be a 'history of seismology in Japan' as well, as the country has produced many famous seismologists. Not sure where this would go....

edit

Just read an article about how Tokyo is predicted to receive a 7+ magnitude quake inside of four years. - Jack Sebastian (talk) 15:32, 25 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Well, at the moment this article is really the List of earthquakes in Japan written in prose form, rather than an article on Earthquakes in Japan. There is nothing on seismic hazard, which is where such information would be added I reckon. Mikenorton (talk) 23:22, 25 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
