This game was spoofed in Deer Avenger by Simon and Schuster Interactive. This should be mentioned.

– Per WP:SMALLDETAILS, the series and the movie The Deer Hunter can coexist without requiring disambiguation as long as hatnotes exist. I feel like the disambiguation page's existence at all is a bit dubious, but if it does continue to exist it should really be at "The Deer Hunter" as that is where the only conflicting pages are located (the novel and the Blacklist episode). ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 06:46, 31 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

  • Oppose The Deer Hunter gets 39,997 views, Deer hunting gets 1,539 compared with only 1,372 for the series. Also The Dear Hunter gets 3,034[[1]]. I don't think SMALLDETAILS works well here since many readers probably won't use "The" when looking for the film and the general concept probably also has enough long-term significance to prevent a move. Google for Deer Hunter mainly returns the film, the only result for the series is this article which comes after the film. Crouch, Swale (talk) 08:56, 31 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
    @Crouch, Swale: Do you support moving Deer Hunter to Deer Hunter (disambiguation) then, in order to make Deer Hunter a WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT to the movie? As you are implying that the movie is the primary topic for it without the "The" as well. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 09:36, 31 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
