Ukrainian edit

Given that Danylo Apostol was born in Ukraine, and his career was mostly spent in Ukrainian institutions, it does not make a lot of sense deleting "Ukrainian" from the first sentence of the lede.-- Toddy1 (talk) 21:51, 8 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

  • Danylo Apostol was not born in Ukraine. He was born in the Cossack Hetmanate. The article states that he fought for Russia on multiple occasions. His military service was for Russia, and he was appointed to some administrative position by leave of Russia over the Cossack Hetmanate. The only references to Ukraine are those to the relative modern-day location, which has no bearing on the current issue. Yours Truly, HNdlROdU (talk). Signed 13:53, 12 December 2017 (UTC).Reply

Space characters in the infobox edit

It makes the infobox template easier to edit if there are spaces: i.e. "| rank = Acting Hetman" instead of "|rank=Acting Hetman". Unless someone can show a policy justifying the removal of the spaces, I intend to restore them.-- Toddy1 (talk) 21:51, 8 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Allegedly Moldavian origin edit

Is there any valid source stating that he was of Moldavian origin? Actually he was born in area which had no Moldavian/Romanian presence, so such statement sounds rather controversial — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.73.13.179 (talk) 01:11, 7 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
