Question about Tuskegee

edit

The article notes that Gen. James was a graduate of Tuskegee Instutitue. Is he considered to be one of the original Tuskegee Airmen? Absolon S. Kent 15:07, 30 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

World War 2

edit

His memorial mentions World War 2, what was he doing around that time? He would've been 19 when it started. Ryan4314 (talk) 02:52, 7 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

The general was a true Christian man in every way. He had a godly mother as well. But I notice every year during Black History month that this man is never mention anywhere. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Streetrace442 (talkcontribs) 06:10, 4 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Chapppie / Iron Eagle

edit

His nickname was Chappie. Loius Gossett, Jr role in movie Iron Eagle - his character's name was Chappie Sinclair. - Purely coincidence? Wfoj2 (talk) 21:32, 16 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Not coincidence. The character of Chappie Sinclair was modeled after and as a tribute to General "Chappie" James. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0091278/trivia/?ref_=ttfc_ql_trv_1 24.111.103.140 (talk) 18:41, 23 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

World War II service

edit

Although James served in the United States Army Air Forces during the World War II era, no reliable sources found as of yet state that he served overseas in a war zone during the war. Accordingly, Category:United States Army Air Forces pilots of World War II and Category:American World War II bomber pilots was removed from the article. Semper Fi!
