They/them pronouns? edit

There seems to be some confusion over Casadilego's pronouns. One editor has been persistently changing the pronouns from she/her to they/them, but I couldn't find a source indicating that her preferred pronouns had changed. I will be keeping the pronouns as they are for now. Chrisanthusjohn (talk) 19:19, 22 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

There are no sources. The usage of pronouns "them/they" is not a thing in Italy, and since ALL the sources about this singer are in Italian you won't find anything. Plus, all the major and reliable sources use "lei (she)" (La Stampa [1], Sky TG24 [2], Corriere della Sera ([3], AllMusic Italia [4]) and she refers to herself with feminine pronouns too during the interviews.--Alienautic (talk) 20:53, 22 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

According to BLP guidelines, the use of a verified social media account seems permissible for birthdays, so I'm assuming it would be okay as a source for gender pronouns the like: Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons#Privacy of personal information and using primary sources Chrisanthusjohn (talk) 17:16, 24 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I was one of the editor that kept editing their pronouns. If you're looking for sources about Casa Di Lego using they/them pronouns you can just look at their tik tok "casadicasadilego" (managed by the singer themselves). Also, the fact that they used feminine pronouns in the past means nothing, since pronouns can change. It is true that you can't use neutral pronouns in Italian but the page is clearly in English so I don't see the problem. (Plus, there's a way to use neutral pronouns in Italian, it's just not well known).

I will wait for consensus before changing to they/them Chrisanthusjohn (talk) 17:19, 24 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

they mention the fact that they use they/them pronouns in this tiktok video https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMLmWKhv5/

Not done for now: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the {{edit semi-protected}} template. The tiktok link does not appear clear enough to assume that is their chosen pronouns. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 11:09, 8 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

TikTok is unreliable please stop changing pronouns unless spruced by a different reliable website edit

Don't use tiktok as a source as its a unreliable source don't change the pronouns without a reliable source — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.222.180.90 (talk) 18:33, 28 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
