Removing language reference edit

Removing "it's callled كمون in Arabic language" from the Cultivation and Uses section as it appears to just have been plopped dead in the middled of a sentence. Might still be interesting to have somewhere in the article, but it'd be cool if someone could provide a romanized spelling of the word as well.

Removed "Name in other Languages" section. Seemed entirly irrelevant to me. 62.178.153.188 (talk) 04:30, 14 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Added section on etymology and history. The variety of terms used for caraway are mentioned around the web and in print, and various dictionaries and etymology guides list the provenance of the word as "suspicious" with the strongest term indicating certainty used being "probably." (which is to say, nobody is very certain at all) The variety of other words used for caraway is notable. The section isn't great but it's cited (unlike the rest of the article) so I think it's a good addition, and maybe someone else can improve it. 163.246.197.46 (talk) 18:39, 19 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Scientific classification edit

The scientific classification of Carum carvi (caraway) given in the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) PLANTS Profile - http://plants.usda.gov/java/profile?symbol=CACA19 - is quite different from that given in this article. Would a plant expert please check this out? Thanks. Timothy Cooper (talk) 08:14, 7 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Explanation edit

An editor called me "rude", and I don't blame him, because he didn't know why I did what I did. Another editor had made this edit, and removed some material that he felt needed to be sourced. All I have done now is to return that material (which I had not been the original writer of, I just saw this) and added a citation. Sorry to have come across as rude. 74.178.230.17 (talk) 22:28, 17 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

More usage? edit

Use with Fiber? edit

Rye_bread indicates that Caraway is added to the bread to compensate for a higher fiber content. Can this be confirmed or denied on the Caraway page? This would be a very important detail if it contains truth.2601:0:C80:68A:DAB:C0DE:93EE:1E4B (talk) 00:15, 16 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
