With growing disatisfaction at the suitability of available buses for use in London following closure of AEC and Park Royal Vehicles, the GLC under Ken Livingstone floated a plan for Aldenham to become as bus production plant. This proved impossible in the prevailing political climate. I remeber this from the early 80s but can't find any references to this on the web. Pterre (talk) 14:29, 30 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
