Citation?

edit
On the one hand, it is regarded as haraam (sinful) to write out the Qur'an in blood.

Citation needed? Was it decreed so by a religious leader? Past or present? None of the pre-invasion articles mention it being haraam, and none of the later articles say who or why it's been condemned. Is this a political football? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.80.24.63 (talk) 20:26, 27 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

On the other hand, it is also forbidden to defile or deface copies of the Qur'an.

Also needs a citation as there are sanctioned ways to destroy a Quran when necessary. This is also misleading as it has nothing to do with the debate over whether to destroy it or not. As the second paragraph states it's largely an issue over whether Saddam should be wiped from history or remembered as a tyrant.

Some photos would be nice

Blood QuranBlood Qur'an – Correct orthography, used consistently throughout entire article. Relisted. BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 18:18, 23 February 2014 (UTC) Impsswoon (talk) 09:26, 15 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

If that is the case should all the instances of Qur'an be moved to Quran? At the very least I find it odd that a link to the Quran article is using Qur'an.--174.93.163.194 (talk) 17:18, 17 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
