30 songs of most weeks on the chart instead of 109+ weeks qualifying in the future. edit

Hello everyone it has been apparent as the creator of this list on this page. I greatly appreciate all the effort you guys have put into this list. Since the charts as of the past few years have been extremely stagnant due to streaming and the lack of rules on this chart specifically songs that go recurrent. I think what's gonna happen in the next 6 months is that there's going to be a ton of songs that have either reached or passed that 109 weeks run on the chart. I think 30 songs will be enough. Maybe as a suggestion, we can make a separate list where songs that were in the top 30 rankings that have fallen off the chart will be considered a dropout of some sort.

Romaji vs Translation edit

Hi to those who also edit this page! I just wanted to ask, is there a specific policy on whether to use the transliteration or the translation of a song's name? Personally I've observed and tried to adhere to using romaji with kanji-titled songs and transliterations (which usually end up being translations) with romaji-titled songs. However, I've recently noticed some exceptions to what has been a pretty consistent rule - specifically with "New Genesis" or "Shin Jidai" by Ado and "Mahou no Juutan" or "Magic Carpet" by Takaya Kawasaki. Should these be changed to match the pattern I've noticed or is it fine to leave them as they are? Lightningmatt (talk) 05:18, 28 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Lightningmatt: This is a WP:MJ issue that effects most media. Basically, every title should be the publicised English name of a work (i.e. don't use Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi, use Spirited Away), ideally a name consistently used by the official company/author(s) and by media outlets. If there's no consistent name (or it's not a release discussed in English-media press), then a transliterated title gets used. --Prosperosity (talk) 20:57, 8 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
