Hm, according to the book "Vägen till stormakt" page 319-320. It says "Farensbach was deployed with 700 cavalry outside the city of Wenden, northeast of Riga. A Swedish force went to attack the Polish troops and were just about to delpoy their lines up when a Polish flanking move of cavalry hit straight into the flank which caused them ro rout. Two Swedish standards escaped and the Polish throw themselves at the infantry which caused 300 dead Swedish, the whole artillery went in Polish hands. However, in return the Swedish captured 100 Polish soldiers as well as taking all their artillery."
So according to this Swedish book, AT LEAST 300 Swedes got killed and 100 Poles got captured.
The thing is that the book doesn't mention anything about Charles IX participated in the battle (he participated in the siege of Dorpat* just days before) also the date of the battle according to this book is - December 29th, 1600* I don't know why that is.
